Book illustrations for children and youth and their use in literary education in free time
BOUDOVÁ, Adéla
The work deals with the use of book illustrations of works for children and youth in literary education in free time. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts, such as illustration, illustrator, literature for children and youth. There is an overview of the selection of suitable illustrations from books for children and youth develop leisure competence. This part also includes an introduction to important personalities of Czech book illustration and the use of illustrations for various fields of education. The practical part of the work contains the creation of a literary project, which is based on the stated issue and is designed as a motivational element for the development of reading in free time.
Digital comic

The aim of this work is to give some insight into the enviroment of digital comic and look at what kind of language is this new medium using, what is it´s specific quality. The work should put some light on what we can imagine when we say „Digital comic“, scatch out some possible issues around comics that had been transferd into digital form after they were released like a classical comicbooks. After that I am trying to analyse few works that had been designed specificly for the digital enviroment. At the end I am comparing these works to the classical comicbooks and trying to find out what makes them specific. I´m also finding an answer to the question what are the basis of these digital comics that didn´t lost characteristics of their original comic medium and at the same time were able to absorbed some new media.
Cinematic Storytelling in Comics

The aim of this work is to point out the similarity of film and comics and thus also the possibility to read some film studies (or analyse films) with an overlap into the medium of comics. The selected method consists of analysing cinematic storytelling techniques and means of expression and their further use in the comics medium. To reach that aim this work uses an image appendix which in main part consists of the first chapter of the Watchmen by Alan Moore.
Illustrations for Children in a view of Children Younger School Age within the Scope of the Leisure Time Education

This thesis is concerned with the illustration for children and its visual perception of the younger school age children in terms of Leisure time education. There are two parts in my thesis, a practical part and a theoretical part. The theoretical part describes the Younger School Age from a view of the Behavioural Psychology and also of the factor participating in an Education and Leisure time education of children. The thesis also includes the illustration, introduced as a part of Art, its historical evolution and an evolution of the Czech Illustration for children. There is also mentioned a personality of the illustrator and his creative language in this part, and moreover there is an introduction of popular illustrators of the 20th century and their production for children. The practical part is focusing on a realization of the project. It is divided in two main parts. The first part is formed by activities related to the Literature and Illustrations for children, being a base for the qualitative research. The second part is devoted to the children perception of single areas relating to the Illustration and its processing by the interviews made with children.
Developing of Graphic Creativity throung Family Tales

The theoretical part is devoted to illustration and to significant. Czech illustrators of childern´s literature. Further it focuses on fairy tale as the literary unit and on the importance of fairy tale in the preschool age. In the practical part the implementation of eight fairy tales by a concrete group, their progression and the proposal of methodological procedures how to work with these fairy tales and how to develop the creative art activities of childern by this way are describet. All this is accompanied by photographs.
